bon appetit...

I had this dream last night that I was staying in a decadent hotel overrun by mice. These mice were not of the usual type but appeared to be slightly larger than the average mouse, white, with fluffy coats and manes. In short, they looked like little white lions.

I checked in with my cat and two kittens. It was the afternoon and I had no idea where my cat was roaming but the kittens were lounging with me when the mice appeared. They were not intimidated by the kittens and even began heckling them and playing lively in front of them as to taunt them. The kittens of course played into their trap and began attempting to attack. They chased and darted for them but the mice jumped on their backs and began to ride the kittens like horses.

My cat Benny wandered into the room and like clock work, his instincts hypnotized him and his eyes zeroed in on the mice. His pupils dilated and his body tensed. He quickly plucked the mice of the backs of the kittens and and shoved them both down his flexible esophagus as the kittens watched and learned and I stood in awe. I could the shape of the mice struggling down his throat as his body tightened and squeezed every bit of life out of the mice. His mouth not fully closed and I could see the paralyzed furry face of the last mouse staring out of Benny's mouth as the jaws of death closed in on him.

Benny was my cat of 21 years. He died two years ago and like many loved ones who have passed on from me, he came to visit me in my dreams. Whatever was bothering me, he ate it. If any others stand to throw a stone, I now know how to widen my jaw and eat them alive.  Thanks Benny boy... you wanted to live forever and you do with me. Keep protecting me. I miss you.

Awoke today with an extreme amount of energy after only 5 hours of sleep. Is this the good life of an insomniac?  I am most interested in lifting people high above...

Writing will withstand the test of time...

Recommendations...

It was recommended to me that I begin writing a post everyday. Regardless of length or content... the importance is to write. Writing is one of my favorite art forms that I have always treasured. Whether it be prose or poetry... I have always been captivated to the transcendental power the written word possess. It leads our soul out of our body through our eyes and enraptures us into a different world. I've always felt the structure of writing to be almost as abstract as the structure of music... yet, we would not have musical archives without writing. With that being said, writing will transcend all forms of formal and informal forms of communication. Literacy is recession proof. It is important to our communication that we all write. Attribution, passion, and imagination humanize the written word. The expression of these traits will not only give life to our stories but also breathe new life into our accounts and prepare them to be passed on in legacy. I have a legacy of experiences and they have a need to be told...
